Life can feel like one long list of things to do.

Work. Family. Children. Parents. The house. The endless mental load.

And when we're rushing from one thing to the next, it's very easy to stop noticing the little things that make life lovely.

The flowers in the garden.

A cup of tea with someone you love.

The sweets you always buy.

An old box of buttons tucked away in a drawer.

Things that are familiar. Things you've seen a thousand times.

But perhaps haven't really looked at for a while.

That's where the Print Club comes in.

Each month, I'll send you a beautiful signed print of one of my paintings, along with a letter sharing the story and inspiration behind it.

Because when I paint, I'm often drawn to something simply because of the colour, the light or the way it catches my eye.

But there's usually something more underneath.

A cup of tea and biscuits can become a painting about the people who support us when life is difficult.

A box of old buttons can become a story about nostalgia and simpler times.

A vase of flowers can make us think about home and belonging.

And a tunnocks teacake can remind us of the little habits and quirks that make us who we are!

The ordinary things around us can hold so much more than we realise.

And I want to help you notice them.

Your monthly invitation to slow down

When your envelope arrives, I hope you'll give yourself a few minutes.

Make a cup of tea.

Open your print.

Read the letter.

Have a little think.

And then carry that thought with you into your day.

Perhaps you'll start noticing something you've walked past every morning.

Perhaps an old memory will pop into your head.

Perhaps you'll look at someone you love and notice one of those little things that makes them them.

Or perhaps you'll simply have a few quiet minutes that are entirely yours.

You don't need to add another thing to your to-do list.

This is about taking something away for a moment.

The rushing.

The doing.

The thinking about what needs to happen next.

Just pause.

Take a breath.

Look a little closer.

And find a little lift in the ordinary.

Everything you need to know before you join:

The Helen McNicholas Print Club is a monthly subscription that costs £12 a month. When you subscribe you will be taken to a separate checkout page to complete your subscription. You will be billed £12 monthly from the date you signed up until you cancel, which you can do easily and at any time. There is absolutely no commitment and we will never make it difficult or awkward for you to leave.

Every month, Print Club members receive a signed 7" x 5" print of the painting of the month, created exclusively for Print Club members. This comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity which also tells the story behind the painting. You will also get a bonus mini print of one of Helen's existing paintings and a signed letter from Helen herself to introduce the month's prints. Also, each month, one member will be drawn at random to win the original painting of the print of the month!

Print Club post is sent out on or around the 7th of each month. You need to be signed up by the end of that first day of each month to receive the print for that month ie. Sign up by the end of the 1st October to get the print that will be sent out on or around 7th October.

If you sign up after the 1st of the month, you will receive the following month's print ie. sign up on the 5th October and you will get the print that goes out on or around the 7th November.

Unfortunately, at the moment, due to increasing tariffs and a change of EU postal rules I have had to take the decision to only send print club post out the UK addresses at the moment. I really, really hope this will change soon so watch this space!

To keep Print Club affordable for everyone, all post is sent untracked and in one batch on or around the 7th of each month. UK letters are sent by standard second class post so should arrive within 2-5 working days after they have been sent out. If you haven't received your goodies within a reasonable time scale please do get in touch.

Yes, absolutely. There is absolutely no minimum commitment and you can cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect from the next billing cycle, so once a monthly payment has been taken you will still receive that month's print even if you cancel before the prints are despatched. To cancel your subscription simply drop a quick message to [email protected] and it will be sorted quickly and easily. No explanation is needed - simply cancel any time. Payments that have already been taken for an active print cycle cannot be refunded.

Helen McNicholas is an artist who creates beautiful paintings of ordinary things - because she doesn't believe that anything is ordinary! Helen loves to celebrate the rich visual world of shape, colour, pattern and texture that can be found in everyday things but that we often overlook because we see these things as mundane or become so familiar with them that we stop even noticing them at all!

Every month Helen will create a painting exclusively for Print Club - with one lucky member being drawn at random every month to win this original painting!
